The GMTA Pre-College Piano Auditions (Grades 4-12) is a three-round competition event. Round-1 begins at the Local Association level, Round-2 continues at the regional level, and Round-3 concludes the audition process at the state level. There are also components for Piano Concerto performance (Grades 9-11) and College / Adult Piano.

In order for any local teacher to enter a student in the AMTA Auditions or the GMTA Auditions, all membership dues must be paid by December 31st.

Community Outreach Recitals (COR) Program

AMTA provides opportunities throughout the year for students to play in Community Outreach Recitals.  All ages and levels are invited to participate. It is a treat for both the residents and the students! And these recitals also servce as great confidence boosters to performance newcomers.

AMTA's Music Scholarship


​AMTA has voted to award a $400 yearly  scholarship to a student majoring in music at Augusta University.  The faculty at AU will choose the recipient for the award and at least one member of the faculty committee choosing the recipient must be a member of AMTA.  The student will be required to help with the Piano Festival and/or Piano Auditions.
